Recently, ASUS announced several tablet products will get a renewal (update) on the latest Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

As quoted from Endgadget, ASUS following written statement: "We are pleased to announced our tablet products will receive Android 4.1 update for the Jelly Bean. ASUS Transformer Pad, ASUS Transformer Pad Prime, and ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity scheduled to receive updates to Android Jelly Bean in the coming months."

Just for information, Jelly Bean, the operating system (OS) Android 4.1 will not be easily exploited as its predecessor. This is because, Jelly Bean is Android's first edition of which fully implements Address Space Layout Randomisation (ASLR).
ASLR is designed to protect users against hacker attacks that install malware on the device. ASLR randomizing the memory locations for the library and other data structures, so that hackers can not find out where the malware will be loaded.

When combined with a separate defense, otherwise known as data execution prevention (DEP), Address Space Layout Randomisation would effectively neutralize the attack.

In analyst published last Monday, a security researcher Jon Oberheide says Android Jelly Bean is the first version of the Google operating system developed by properly implementing ASLR protection.

Even so, it is actually not the first Jelly Bean offers ASLR, but Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). But in the Android ICS, implement Address Space Layout Randomisation is less effective in reducing the attack. So, if you have ASUS tablet products go update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
